Pride Month is all about expressing individuality, being proud of who you are and living your truth. There are so many mediums you can use to express yourself, so of course, we at Sightworthy took to video!

Living my Truth as a Proud Bisexual Woman

To celebrate pride month, our very own Chloe wanted to share her story with all of us, including you!

When you watch this, you’ll notice that it doesn’t take a fancy production crew to keep you captivated, all a great video needs (to be great) is a spoonful of personal anecdote and a dash of sightworthy sprinkles. <3

How it was made:
Sightworthy editors know how to take what you have and turn it into a great story, which is what they did for me. Here are a couple of key guidelines that our creatives live by:

• The Right Video Assets: this story is about my truth, so Chloe gave, her editor, clips that weren’t necessarily the best looking, but showed here being her, unapologetically. Sure, she was all #nomakeupclub on screen, but at the end of the day isn’t that more relatable?
• Recognizable Clips: we all know about Aladdin and Jasmine, we’ve seen Clueless. Clips like this help embellish the story and also make you more personable to your viewers. Not to mention, it’s just fun!
• DIY voice-over: with a pair of earbuds and the Voice Memo app, Chloe was able to record a usable voiceover myself, which is how the editor was able to pick the right clips to match the story.

And don’t forget about “B2P”: remember, at the end of the day we are people talking to other people. In an era where you can sniff out #fakenews a mile away, authenticity takes the cake!

In other words: Don’t be afraid to be #Proud for who you are!
